Which Christian? was formed in 1997 by Tom Glynn, with the aim of publishing information about Christian organisations in Australia. For 20 years the three core titles that make up the Which Christian? brand—Which Christian Mission?, Which Christian School? and Which Christian College?—have been in continuous print production as annual print editions. All the information and advertising from the print edition has been mirrored online at www.whichchristian.com.au.
The core ministry of Which Christian? is to provide up to date information about Christian organisations in Australia in order to build up the church. Although the nature of the publications is to provide directory-style information, each edition of the guides also carried relevant editorial addressing key issues in education, mission and general theological themes affecting social changes, faith and Christian organisations today.
In mid 2018, as print directories and guides either have, or are all moving online, the decision was made to concentrate purely on developing online content. This move coincided with a conversation between Rod Heard of Which Christian? and Matt Danswan of Initiate Media – the publisher of a number of magazines including the Finda Christian School, Finda Christian Mission and Finda Christian College publications. Rod and Matt had had a number of conversations over the last couple of years exploring possibilities of working together, with no real workable option presenting itself. We believe God’s timing is now. Within the space of one telephone conversation, the way forward presented itself: by joining forces to create a wide ranging network of websites to massively increase exposure with multiple listings for organisations.
